Google parts ways with Apple over WebKit, launches Blink (Stephen Shankland/CNET)

Google is parting ways with the WebKit browser.  The WebKit browser was standard on Google Android devices and all some apple I devices. Google is split up the project to reduce a large code base or 4 million lines of code can be deleted.  They can now work on a more touch friendly interface lets archaic compatibility and desktop mode code. Both Google and Apple work together on Web Kit and blink is just a form of Web Kit. We shall see where it goes but this looks promising as an easier CodeBase is much more manageable especially with 4.5 million less lines of code.
